Centreville man receives prison sentence for illegal firearm possession

A man from Centreville, Mississippi, was sentenced to 29 months in prison for possessing a firearm as a convicted felon. The sentencing took place on January 13, 2026.

Court documents state that Alforn Napoleon Lee, 49, was found with a firearm after being apprehended by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and the United States Marshal Service for a parole violation originating from Nevada. Federal law prohibits individuals with felony convictions from possessing firearms.

Lee was indicted by a federal grand jury on December 10, 2024. He entered a guilty plea on August 11, 2025.

Operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).”

The investigation involved ATF agents along with support from USMS and state narcotics officials. Assistant U.S. Attorney Amber Jones prosecuted the case.
