Jackson man sentenced to over 18 years for drug distribution conspiracy

A Jackson man, Marcus Guice, received a federal prison sentence on May 30, 2025. He was sentenced to 175 months for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and another 175 months for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Both sentences will run concurrently along with three years of supervised release for the first charge and five years for the second. Due to violations of his federal supervised release, Guice also faces an additional 46 months in prison.

Court documents reveal that between December 2019 and January 2020, Guice and his coconspirators engaged in communications about selling marijuana, cocaine, crack cocaine, and methamphetamine in Jackson, Mississippi. They are accountable for distributing over 69,000 kilograms of converted drug weight during this period.

In addition to his prison term, Guice has been fined $1,500.

The announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi and Special Agent in Charge Robert Eikhoff of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The investigation involved the FBI along with the Jackson Police Department and Ridgeland Police Department. Assistant United States Attorney Keesha Middleton prosecuted the case.

This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative by the Department of Justice aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime perpetrators.
