Woodville man receives 10-year sentence for methamphetamine distribution

A Woodville, Mississippi resident has been sentenced to a decade in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine. Reginald Lionel Gilmore, 40, was convicted of possessing with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine after selling 228 grams for $3,000 in Wilkinson County in January 2023.

The announcement was made by Acting U.S. Attorney Patrick A. Lemon of the Southern District of Mississippi and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Anessa Daniels-McCaw of the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics. Assistant U.S. Attorney Bert Carraway prosecuted the case.

The prosecution is part of Operation Take Back America, a national initiative led by the Department of Justice that focuses on combating illegal immigration, eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and reducing violent crime. The operation coordinates resources from programs such as the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).
